Tesla conference call unveiled some new about the Model Y The first batch f Model Y cars will start shipping out in March. Tesla added the 21 inch Überturbine Wheels option on the Model Y (see image on op) The Performance version has now a top speed of 155mph (previously 145mph) The All Wheel long range version now has an EPA estimate of 315 miles (previously 280 miles). For a brief moment you can notice the Tesla 3 and Tesla Y size comparison. It’s quite a bit taller! From pervious videos we have learned the Tesla Y is nearly as tall as the Tesla X but definitely not as wide. A new firmware update unveiled some tidbits about the future Tesla S/X models: https://twitter.com/greentheonly/status/1220873910759149568 It might be that these updates are for the Tesla S “Plaid” version that is definitely coming this year. The interesting bits will be the new battery which is rumored to offer a 400+ miles range!
Ok guys I am late on this and I know everybody knows it by now: Tesla is rumored to start a limited run of Model Y production in February. The performance version will be produced first and the prodcution slowy reach full speed in late Summer. The one thing I would like to know if in 2020 we will also see a 100kWh battery option on the Model 3 and Model Y. This version has been leaked within the latest Model 3 software code. Damn would I love to get a 400+ miles Model 3/Y !!!
